The staff counselling centre invites you to join an interactive session exploring the role of community in fostering a fulfilling life through the lens of Adlerian psychotherapy.
Alfred Adler (1870–1937), a contemporary of Sigmund Freud, developed Individual Psychology, a socially oriented, holistic approach to understanding human behaviour. His influence spans figures such as Carl Rogers, Abraham Maslow, Albert Ellis, and Viktor Frankl; he is widely known for coining the term “inferiority complex.”
Participants will engage in a creative reflective exercise focused on personal relationships and sense of belonging, followed by small group discussions. Please bring pen and paper for this activity.
Session Objectives:
- Explore Adlerian perspectives on community and mental well-being
- Discuss key Adlerian concepts, including inferiority & superiority, social interest, and life tasks
- Engage in a hands-on reflective exercise, Share insights in a small group discussion
